‘It’s just not fair’: Residents outraged by construction of ‘ghetto’ shelter in Montreal

Posted May 19, 2019 05:32:28Construction workers at a construction site in Montreal are working on what they believe is a new, more aesthetically pleasing way to build their new house.

The building, dubbed the Jungle, was erected in the shadow of a former industrial complex.

The Jungle has been a popular home for the homeless in the city since 2013, and now the new structure is the first part of a larger structure.

Residents in the area have been upset with the construction and are worried about their safety.

“It’s kind of an urban ghetto for the last three years,” said Marc-André Gaultier, a resident of the area.

“You can see the graffiti all over it.”

Residents say the new construction will be unsafe.

“I’m not sure that it will be safe, but I don’t care, because I want my kids to have the best possible life, because the Jungle is for me,” said Gaultiers son.

“That’s why I’m telling you, if you don’t like it, I’m going to tear down this building,” he said.

Residents are also concerned about the impact the new structures will have on the nearby neighbourhood.

“The Jungle is not safe.

I feel like I live in the ghetto,” said Liza Lachance, another resident.

“When I went out there, there were people on the street, with no shoes, no socks, no hats.

Now they’re all wearing the same clothes.

That’s scary.”

“This is not about a lack of money, it’s about money, the building, money,” said Philippe Cécile, a neighbor.

“They are going to take the building away from the people who live there, who need it.”

“It will be an eyesore, it will look like a homeless camp, like an abandoned cemetery, just like they have in other parts of Montreal,” said Jean-Luc Berard, a nearby resident.

But residents in the neighbourhood have been protesting the project for the past few years.

In 2017, they took to the streets to protest the construction of the new house, calling it an “institution for the poor.”

They also claimed it would cause the construction to be too close to the area’s main road.

“This house is the new Jungle.

It’s not a shelter, it has no shelter,” said the group’s leader, Pierre Bourque.

“We’re tired of living in a ghetto.

The people here are tired of the garbage, the dirty, the homeless people.

We want to live in a nice neighbourhood, not in a homeless one.”

The Jungle is the brainchild of the construction company Laval Group, who has built several other properties in Montreal over the years.

“Laval Group is responsible for the construction work that will take place at the Jungle,” said a spokesperson for the company.

Laval’s spokesperson says the Jungle will be completely different from previous structures, and will be designed to be more aesthetically pleasing. “

Our aim is to create a beautiful new neighborhood that will offer residents a comfortable and safe environment.”

Laval’s spokesperson says the Jungle will be completely different from previous structures, and will be designed to be more aesthetically pleasing.

“Each house will be built using an innovative approach that includes a combination of recycled materials and materials that are environmentally friendly,” the spokesperson said.

“These include recycled bricks, steel beams and concrete.

We’re also adding a roof and terrace to improve the sustainability of the project.”

Residents have expressed their anger at the construction on social media, posting photos of the Jungle to Instagram and Twitter.

One user even posted a picture of the original Jungle, which was completed in 2009.

The new Jungle is expected to open to the public in 2019.
